A treatment that replenishes the strands with oils nourishes the strands and leaves dog skin shiny and frizz-free. Coconut oil can be a good topical treatment for dry, itchy dog skin. You can try using a small amount of coconut oil, olive oil, or vitamin E oil to moisturize a dry patch of skin on your dog. Avoid using human moisturisers on your pet as these can be too harsh on their skin and may even be toxic if they are licked off.
